Old-Fashioned Spice Bundt Cake

This classic, old-fashioned spice bundt cake is filled with warming spices and topped with homemade butterscotch sauce! Serve warm!

Combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt in a large glass bowl. Whisk to combine.

Step 1

Beat room temperature butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar until soft and creamy.

Step 2

Beat in oil and vanilla extract until incorporated.

Step 3

Add eggs and egg yolk one at a time and beat until combined.

Step 4

With mixer on low speed, add dry ingredients in 3 additions.

Step 5

Alternate with unsweetened applesauce.

Step 6

Gently fold in shredded apple with a spatula.

Step 7

Spoon batter into prepared bundt pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Step 8

Bake cake for 42 to 44 minutes, until golden. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then invert onto a wire rack to cool.

Top with butterscotch sauce and chopped pecans! Enjoy!
