STEP 1:

Brown butter: Cook butter in a heavy saucepan until it turns a medium brown, about 5 minutes. Pour brown butter into a medium bowl.

Let brown butter cool for 5 minutes, then add brown sugar to the mixing bowl.

STEP 3:

Whisk brown butter and brown sugar together until combined.

Add one large egg, vanilla extract, and salt.
