Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

These fudgy double chocolate chip cookies are just the treat to bake when you crave an ultra decadent chocolate cookie. No mixer or chill time required!

Combine dry ingredients: Whisk flour, Dutch process  cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl.

Step 1

Melt chocolate: Combine chopped semisweet chocolate and cubed butter in a microwave-safe bowl.

Step 2

Heat in bursts, stirring until melted and smooth (about 90 seconds total). Set aside.

Step 3

Make dough: Combine sugar, brown sugar, and eggs in a large bowl.

Step 4

Whisk mixture for 1 minute until smooth and ribbony.

Step 5

Add warm chocolate mixture to the bowl and whisk for 30 seconds until smooth.

Step 6

Add flour mixture to the bowl.

Step 7

Fold in with a spatula just until combined - the mixture will be thick and fudgy. Let rest for 5 minutes.

Step 8

Add chocolate chips (semisweet, dark, or whatever you love!).

Step 9

Fold in just until combined.

Step 10

Scoop balls of dough and top with chocolate chips, pressing gently to adhere.

Step 11

Bake cookies at 350°F for 10 to 11 minutes. Top with flaky salt and cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to cooling racks.
