Easy Banana  Bread Muffins

Simple and delicious banana bread muffins with chocolate chips are perfect to bake when you crave the taste of homemade banana bread!

Make bread: Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.

Step 1

Combine mashed banana, melted butter, sour cream, egg, and vanilla in a medium bowl, whisking until smooth.

Add banana mixture to flour mixture and fold with a spatula.

Don’t overmix – fold the batter gently with a spatula just until no flour streaks remain.

Add mini chocolate chips to the banana batter.

Step 5

Gently fold in chocolate chips with a spatula - the muffin batter will be thick.

Step 6

Fill each baking cup 3/4 full of batter and sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Step 7

Bake muffins at 425°F for 5 minutes, then reduce heat to 350°F and bake another 10 to 11 minutes.
