My hubby knows I will be one happy wife if I get a box of Godiva on Valentine’s Day. I know it’s not a homemade dessert but Godiva isn’t something I indulge in very often so I consider it a huge treat!

Hubby and I move our Valentines day to July 14th, with Christmas, his birthday (Jan 28th) and my birthday (Feb 13th) and then nothing til Christmas, we decided the first year we were together to move it and split the year up a little better. It works out great, restaurants aren’t overbooked, prices aren’t inflated in hotels if we want to go on a weekend break, and I get to buy cards and treats in clearance ;)
My favourite dessert on our own little ‘fake’ Valentines day, is Bananas foster from Perry’s steakhouse, they flambe it table-side and they serve it with a ma-hooosive ball of Bluebell icecream – it’s DIVINE!!!

This is weird, but I love seafood for Valentine’s Day! Valentine’s Day is my birthday and for the past 23 years, my husband and I have always dined at a local restaurant that specializes in seafood. It is the best!
